FBA Staff and Faculty
Head of School
Jason joined the FBA family in 2008 after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baylor University. He received a Masters of Education (M.Ed) degree from Dallas Baptist University in 2010. Jason played NCAA football for 3 years at Baylor University and 1 year at Howard Payne University. An FBA alumnus, Jason has a passion to help FBA students strive for excellence academically, athletically, and most importantly, spiritually. He returned to FBA because of the impact the teachers and coaches had on his life and hopes to have the same impact on the lives of the students at FBA.
Secondary Principal
Ryan joined the FBA family in 2024. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics in 2013 and from Texas A&M University with a Masters of Science in Mathematics in 2018. He has been married to his wife, Kenzie, for 10 years and together they have 3 FBA Saints sons: Liam, Luke, and Samuel. Ryan came to FBA from Mesquite ISD, where he served as Secondary Math Coordinator in the central office. Ryan’s great passions are bringing God glory by making disciples of Jesus Christ and serving teachers and students in their professional and educational journeys. His desire is to see the students at FBA develop and use their gifts with excellence for the glory of God and advancement of His kingdom. Outside of school, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, watching and talking about Texas A&M athletics, playing sports (especially basketball and golf), and drinking coffee.
Elementary School Principal
Assistant Principal
Sarah joined FBA in 2023 as Assistant Principal at First Baptist Academy and brings over 15 years of experience in education and a passion for helping students grow academically and personally. Grounded in her Christian faith, she is dedicated to fostering an environment where students excel, walk with Christ, and develop the skills and character to impact the world. Before joining FBA’s leadership team, Sarah gained extensive classroom and administrative experience and is known for her servant leadership, collaboration, and support of teachers and students. She views education as a calling and partners with families, staff, and the community to nurture students in every area of life. Outside of school, Sarah enjoys time with her husband, Andrew, and their three daughters, staying active in church and family life, and serving as an international host family.
Chief Financial Officer
Clint serves as Chief Financial Officer at First Baptist Academy, where he has been faithfully serving for the past eight years. He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Clint and his wife, Allison, are grateful to have their three children Mac, Michaela Kate, and Kenna attending FBA, where they are deeply involved in school life. Outside of work, Clint enjoys playing guitar, hunting, and supporting his children in their various activities. He is passionate about stewarding resources wisely to support the mission and ministry of FBA.
Director of International Student Education
Karen joined the FBA family in 2024 and leads the growing International Student Education program, helping students from around the world pursue a private Christian education in Dallas, TX. With over 37 years of experience in private Christian school administration and teaching, Karen has also served as a professor of Christian Education and Director of Teacher Education. She holds a PhD in K-12 Education from Michigan State University, as well as degrees in Church Music, Biblical Studies, and Music Education. Karen is passionate about global ministry and believes in the value of cultural exchange for all students.
Director of Advancement
New to FBA in 2025, Guy believes that Christian education is the most significant way that we can positively impact the lives of young people and help shape their future. Guy holds an MBA from Clarkson University and is passionate about the power of lifelong education and learning. Guy‘s favorite part of FBA is being a parent of three students and a coach in the athletic department.
Director of Admissions and Marketing
Elizabeth joined the FBA family in 2011, and she and her husband are proud alumni of the school. After earning a degree in Public Relations, she feels truly blessed to serve the students and families of FBA. Grateful for the lasting impact that the teachers and staff had on her own life, Elizabeth deeply values the faculty’s dedication to providing every student with a Christ-centered education. She loves seeing how God is working in the lives of students and considers it a privilege to be part of their spiritual journey.
Director of Development
Athletic Director
Matthew joined FBA in 2019. He holds a B.S. in Christian Ministries from Mid-America Christian University and has 25 years of coaching experience, including over 20 years in athletic administration. Matthew and his wife, Megan, have been married for 22 years and have six children. Their oldest, Emily Kate, graduated from FBA in 2024, while Dylan, Kylie Jane, Cole, Parker, and Sawyer currently attend. With a heart for ministry through athletics, Matthew is passionate about helping student-athletes relentlessly pursue excellence in every area of life while honoring the Lord in the process. He views athletics as a powerful vehicle for discipleship and personal growth. Outside of his work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, golfing with his boys, and watching his children compete in sports.
Counselor
Mark joined the FBA family in 1976. In his more than four decades at FBA, Mark has served as a classroom teacher, coach, and for the last 25 years, the Middle and High School Guidance counselor. Mark has a Bachelor degree in Secondary Education, a Masters degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, and is certified as a Texas school counselor. He enjoys personal contact with numerous colleges and universities across the country and recently served on the High School Council of the North American Coalition of Christian Admission Professionals.
