Students explore the history of Texas from early indigenous cultures through modern times. Students develop proficiency in proportional relationships, operations with rational numbers, algebraic reasoning, equations and inequalities, geometry, measurement, probability, and statistics. An accelerated mathematics course for students who demonstrate strong mathematical aptitude and readiness for advanced study. Students master all Grade 7 TEKS while progressing through selected Grade 8 standards, allowing them to enroll in Algebra I in 8th grade. The course moves at a faster pace and requires a high level of independence, organization, and mathematical reasoning.Science

Students engage in advanced literary analysis, challenging writing assignments, enriched vocabulary study, and extensive discussion of complex texts. US History 8
Students study United States History from the early colonial period through Reconstruction following the Civil War. Through the examination of significant individuals, events, founding documents, government principles, westward expansion, reform movements, and the causes and consequences of the Civil War, students develop an understanding of the foundations of the United States.
