We are excited to announce that First Baptist Academy will include 6th grade as a part of our Dallas Elementary School division for the 2018-2019 school year!
At First Baptist Academy, our mission is to provide a Christ-centered and biblically-integrated college preparatory education to develop the next generation of Christian servant leaders for the glory of God. In providing a quality Christ-centered education, we give our students a solid foundation to succeed academically, socially and spiritually as they grow and mature throughout their childhood. With this foundation, we also believe it is important that our students are in the proper environment during this transitional period of their lives.
Elementary is an exciting, challenging and welcoming atmosphere that will allow your child to feel connected at every level. In fact, the caring nurturing environment, as well as the Biblical worldview teachings, are the cornerstone of the First Baptist Academy Elementary School. Our Elementary School combines a warm and caring environment with Christian educators who are dedicated to helping each child succeed. Our staff offer a wide variety of teaching styles catering to the diverse needs of all students. Small groups and differentiated instruction contribute to our academic rigor. Teachers and parents partner to develop the character of the whole child focusing on glorifying God in all that we do.
Our students are given the opportunities to figure out what they are passionate about and get to know what’s important to them. Sixth grade at First Baptist Academy Elementary School is a time of developing leaders and students who exhibit responsibility in both academia and spirituality. While 6th grade has often been described as a major crossroads of a child’s development, at First Baptist Academy, 6th graders are afforded every opportunity to excel academically and socially within the close, compassionate advisory of a collaborative team of educators.
Our 6th grade offers a small community with big opportunities. In fact, research has shown that 6th graders within Elementary School behave and test better than 6th graders in a Middle School environment, because they are able to mature and develop into confident young people without the external pressures they may encounter in an older division.
In addition, researchers at Duke University and the University of California, Berkeley found that 6th graders in Elementary Schools improved their scores on end-of-grade exams in math and reading relative to their peers in Middle School, and those gains persisted through High School.
At First Baptist Academy, we provide children the educational and religious resources and guidance to thrive beyond their time at FBA, and we’re excited to see our 6th graders excel in this new setting.
For all question regarding enrollment, contact First Baptist Academy via phone or email and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
